“I’ve had back pain issues for quite a long time. Even though I enjoy working and being active, there are times when I’m just not physically able, and that’s frustrating,” says Adam, who completed the Working Together Program at the Neil Squire Society in 2014. Adam’s goal was to gain a full time position that his back would allow him to work at without incurring much discomfort.
Harvinder has Multiple Sclerosis which affects her balance. However, she wants to work and share her abilities in the workplace. To enter the job market, she felt that she needed to develop her computer skills.
Angeline was having a hard time finding and securing employment due to an anxiety disorder, and a kidney problem. At the Neil Squire Society, she found the skills, tools, and confidence to take the next step in her career.
Michael has always had a strong interest in design. This passion led him to attend The New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, where he graduated in 2014 with a Graphic Design diploma. However, after graduation, Michael had a hard time finding a job in his field.
Recently, the BC Christian Academy started a new program and needed to hire some additional staff. Laurentia and Silviya were looking for a job that responded to their skills and experience. The Neil Squire Society’s Working Together program found the perfect fit for both.
