Nate wasn’t sure if he was ready to fully jump back into the workforce. He had lost his job, and had recently undergone multiple difficult surgeries. A previous participant in our programs, he decided to join our Creative Employment Options program, initially thinking he’d try and look for something lighter.

“My goal was basically to improve my resume,” he shares. “But I was really hesitant in trying to just get back into the workforce.”

Nate really appreciated the personalized support he received from the Creative Employment Options team.

“The staff went above and beyond in anything that they could,” he says. “If I mentioned one thing or even just a thought comes to my head, [my case manager] Anmol was all over it, even if just to research it and get back to me as soon as she could with any further information she could find, or any suggestions she had for me.”

As he went through the process, he began feeling ready for full-time employment.

“Going into the Neil Squire office there, meeting with Anmol and just having the coaching and the one-on-ones, I realized that, yeah, I am ready to get back into the full swing of things,” he explains.

Before long, Nate landed a hybrid position as a Customer Care Agent for a workers compensation agency.

“I’ve always been excited about customer service. I like being able to help people,” he shares, noting that his own experience with a workplace injury about a decade ago helps him relate with clients on the other side of the phone. “I’m very excited. It’s a good career path to start down for sure.”

Nate says he “absolutely” recommends Creative Employment Options, having even referred a friend to the program.

“[Creative Employment Options] geared me up to get back into the workforce. There was kind of a ‘do I just want to dip my toe in the water or do I want to jump right in’ kind of thing. And it really did help me get to the point where I want to jump in.”
