In April of 2014, Mouhamed attended the Neil Squire Society’s annual Job Fair at the University of Regina, where he spoke with one of the Society’s case managers about his struggles in finding employment.
Wayne, who is deaf, began working with Fredericton Works, a non-profit agency that provides employment counselling for the deaf and hard of hearing, and also the Neil Squire Society.
Louise has lower back and leg pain, as well as a learning disability. “It takes me a bit longer to understand things and perform tasks and duties at work,” she says.
Matthew, a C5 Quadriplegic, is not one to let his disability affect his daily life.
