Dr. Gary Birch, Officer of the Order of Canada, and a recognized global expert on the impact of assistive technology for people with disabilities, has been invited by the federal Office for Disability Issues to represent the Neil Squire Society at the fifth session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, September 12-14, 2012 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City.
On Sunday, April 15, a team of 20 employees from ISM Canada participated in Canada’s largest 10K race, the Vancouver Sun Run. As each runner passed the finish line they didn’t just celebrate their race times, but also the fact that they raised over $1,000 for the Neil Squire Society!
We are excited to announce that we have been approved for funding to hire a student intern for our Ontario office!
Congratulations to Dr. Gary Birch, Neil Squire Society’s Executive Director, for being appointed
to part of the Panel on Labour Market Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities.
