YACRO reached out to Neil Squire’s Working Together program to see if there was any help available to support the Shanty Café in continuing to provide opportunities to people with disabilities.
“Since the Working Together program, I have had a huge boost in my self-esteem and self-confidence. Being able to use my skills and knowledge of access and inclusion is a boost as well.”
Alice is proud of the work she’s doing with the Disability Foundation, applying her skills in marketing and communications to a new nationwide initiative by the organization.
Nate has cerebral palsy, which affects his balance, fine motor skills, and core strength. In addition, he can have difficulty tracking words when reading.
